The Results Are In!

Where do I start?

I have been going over May 12th in my mind all week! It's taken some time to tally things up, get things re-organized and evaluate everything.

I am happy to report that the event took place without a hitch and everyone who attended had a fabulous night!

For a first-time event like this, everything went so well. All the vendors managed to get set up and create the most beautiful tables with their displays. The variety of products and services that were together in one room made for a very interesting networking event. We had artisans, photographers, a gym trainer, a real estate agent, and massage therapists, just to name a few! There was truly something for everyone and connecting with such a wide range of talented people in one evening was exciting!

Thursday evening, we managed to attract approximately 75 people to the event with all the free advertising, flyers and social networking mentions. Not too bad!

And with the 75 attendees, along with the vendors and volunteers, raffle tickets were purchased in abundance! In just two and a half hours, we managed to raise $1032.88 which will be shared among the three children's charities! This week I will be bringing the proceeds to the three hospitals. Follow-ups to come.

All in all, the vendors were happy, the guests were thrilled and everyone loved the raffle prizes(did they ever love the raffle prizes!!), yummy treats and complimentary magazines and papers. Photographer extrodinaire, Valerie Pyke, graciously took photos of the event and they will arrive shortly. So look out for a visual of the event to come!

Because it was a great success, I am going to make this an annual event. I will continue on with this blog and possibly continue to receive donations and give prizes...that's all in the works now. So be sure to follow the blog, like the Facebook page and look out for great surprises! I'm so happy to be able to go to the three hospitals this week with the donations and know that children will benefit somehow from what I coordinated on May 12th.

A big thank you to you all - you helped make a difference with Shopping From The Heart!!
